MINUTES OF PART TWO OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF ST GEORGE’S ANGLICAN PARISH– THAMES ON SUNDAY 20th MARCH 2016 from 10.15am
Present: Vicar and 23 parishioners.
Apologies: Apologies received from 7 parishioners.
The Vicar welcomed everyone to the meeting, opened the meeting explained the Agenda and introduced
Mr Bob Cox (Parish Auditor) to present to the meeting the Audited Accounts for January – December 2015.
Audited Accounts for 2015
Bob Cox talked the meeting through the audited accounts.
Bob Cox noted his extreme thanks to Fiona White, and Kelvin Jones for their accurate work with the
parish accounts. Margaret Smith thanked for her work with the parish envelope giving.
Appreciation grateful thanks to Bob Cox for auditing the accounts and his generosity with his time.
The Audited Accounts for 2015
Bob Cox presented the Audited Accounts for 2015 to the meeting.
Ray Deed moved that the Audited accounts (income and expenditure) for 2015 be received. Arthur Mead/Carried.
Fiona Harden asked if the Building Fund Savings account was the same as the BNZ Building Fund Term Deposit account. Bob Cox confirmed it was.
Robin Plummer moved that the Audited Accounts (income and expenditure) for 2015 be adopted. Raewyn Grey/Carried.
Bob briefly explained the changes in accounting policies. In the future all accounting services will be consolidated under Trust Management (Auckland) who will produce the necessary financial reports. This should not make any real difference to the format of the Annual Accounts as the process they use parallels our own.
The Proposed 2016 Budget
The Vicar presented the proposed budget for 2016 to the meeting.
Ray Deed moved that the Budget for 2016 be received and adopted.
Synods Lay Representatives
No Nominations for these positions. Vestry has the ability to fill any Synods Rep Vacancies.
There being no further business, the meeting concluded at 11.10am with a blessing.

The Vicar moved that the minutes for the Annual General Meeting Part One and Part Two be received. Ray Deed/Agreed.
Vicar’s Report: The Vicar presented his report to the meeting during the Church service.
Churchwarden’s Report: Finlay Clements presented the churchwarden’s report to the meeting in the parish hall.
Ray Deed moved the Vicar and Churchwarden’s reports for 2015 be received. Natalie Geary/Agreed
The Vicar moved the Vicar and Churchwarden’s report for 2015 be adopted. Raewyn Grey/Agreed
Peter Philip asked if written reports could be provided so parishioners can follow along as unable to hear reports – The Vicar to make a dozen copies available over the next week – also to be uploaded onto the Parish website.
Appointments and Elections of Wardens and Vestry Members
Vicar’s Warden: Kate Jones
People’s Warden: Finlay Clements
Vestry: Raewyn Grey, Natalie Geary,Ray Deed, Margaret McKay
Robin Plummer moved Vestry be given authority to fill vacancies of up to 10 members total. Winnie Sheehan./Agreed
Beth Philip enquired again the availability of a recycling bin for the kitchen.
Winnie Sheehan was presented flowers to mark her 8 years of service as our Synods Representative.
Two new Synods representatives will need to be elected at Part Two of the AGM March 2016.

The Audited accounts will be presented along with the 2016 Budget. Vestry to set the date for that meeting.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 11.05am until Part Two of the AGM; with prayers of thanks.
